Julian
Julian is a variant of the more traditional French name, Julien. This name comes from the Latin “Julius,” the name of a famous Roman family from which Caesar descended! It has a lovely, slightly Spanish-sounding flair and is quite rare at the moment which only adds to its charm !
Joséphine
The name Joséphine is derived from the Hebrew name Yoseph, or the feminine version of Joseph. From the Hebrew yôsephyâh, meaning “God will add.” Once popular among our grandmothers, this sweet and graceful name is making a comeback — just like many other vintage names!

For Slavic cultures, it is derived from milen, which means “beloved by the people.” Behind this Central European name hides… Emile, a name that was very popular in the 19th century and may well make a comeback with the current wave of vintage names. It can be spelled in different ways, such as Milan, Mylan, or even Milàn. Gentle and calm, Milann often has an endearing charm…
PORTUGUESE INSPIRATION
Anita
From Hebrew meaning “grace,” this name corresponds to the Portuguese and Spanish form of Anne, also used in Scandinavia. A gentle name, but with character! And if you follow Jolibump’s updates, you know we love this name… We even gave it to our latest shirt model !
Jao
A name said to be derived from an ancient Inca deity. Jao, a very cute name, is common in Portugal but not yet in France… A great idea if you want to break away from the classics while choosing a pretty, short name!
